Covenant Classical School

Covenant Classical School's mission is to partner with Christian parents to train students to live and think according to a biblical, Christ-centered worldview. We provide a rigorous, classical education that instills a lifelong love of learning so our students are prepared to thrive in college and beyond.

The word “rigor” is an often misunderstood word that merits some consideration. In short, we want rigor to be experienced as richness, not rigidity. The first and greatest commandment is to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. Covenant partners with Christian parents who desire an education that seeks to grow a love for God in all four of these ways and acknowledge that this is a demanding pursuit. We lead with heart and soul, but also see great value in the intentional cultivation of the mind and in the application of diligence.

The word rigor means that we do not seek to provide the easiest path through a K-12 education. Through meaningful, age-appropriate challenge, students are stretched in ways that grow them. The value of a Covenant education is that our aims extend far beyond just admission to college. With that said, we want to be rigorous in the right ways. When we think of rigor, we are not thinking about quantity of work, but quality. What we seek in terms of rigor are things like depth of thought, quality of writing, and an orientation toward and skill in problem-solving. Additionally, our high expectations are accompanied by an even higher level of support.
