School Community: Where Students are Known
Student life at Covenant isn't limited to big events. It's a teacher stopping to ask how you're doing, older and younger students knowing one another by name, lunch around the same table, conversations in the hallway, and friends who have grown up alongside you. Our size makes it possible for students to be known, challenged, encouraged, and invited to contribute.

Chapel, Advisory & Worship Team: Faith Lived Out Together
Students regularly gather with faculty and friends to read Scripture, worship, pray, and hear biblical teaching. Depending on their age, that may happen through Chapel, advisory, House prayer, or classroom devotions. These shared rhythms help create something we deeply value – an authentic Christian community in which students see faith lived out around them every day. Students can also join our Worship Team in high school.

Grammar School Traditions: Where Learning Comes to Life
Egyptian Feasts. Greek Olympics. Renaissance Faire. Hobbit Feast. At Covenant, some of the most memorable learning happens when students step into the stories, cultures, and ideas they have been studying. These traditions give Grammar School students something to anticipate each year — and create shared memories that become part of growing up at Covenant.

House System: A Place to Belong
Beginning in 7th Grade, every student becomes part of one of Covenant's four Houses: Athanasius, Augustine, Tyndale, or Wilberforce. Houses bring students across grade levels together for prayer, service, games, and year-long competitions. The competition is fun – and sometimes hilarious – but the deeper purpose is belonging. Students learn to cheer for one another, lead younger students, practice good sportsmanship, and contribute to a community that extends beyond their own grade. Students can also run for leadership positions.

Retreats: Time Away to Deepen Relationships
Relationships often grow most outside of the classroom. Covenant students participate in day-long, overnight, and multi-day retreats as they move through their years at Covenant. Our 5th/6th Retreat focuses on friendship and team-building while our 6th Grade Retreat focuses on celebrating the end of Grammar School while intentionally preparing students for the Upper School. Our Rhetoric students spend three days together away from campus, combining spiritual formation with plenty of time for friendship, laughter and fun.

Winter Formal: Making Memories Together
Our annual Winter Formal gives our 9th through 12th Grade students a chance to dress up, gather with friends, and enjoy a fun evening together. With music, dancing, photos, and plenty of laughter, it’s one of those traditions students look forward to each year and remember long after the night is over.

Senior Year: Traditions Worth Waiting For
Part of growing up at Covenant is watching the students ahead of you and knowing that one day, it will be your turn. Senior Sunrise. Senior Sign delivery. Wonderful Wednesdays. Cookouts. Painting "The Tube." Senior Thesis. Senior Gala. These traditions allow the entire community to celebrate students who have reached the end of their K–12 journey. And of course, Seniors take their biggest field trip yet – a trip to Italy! After years spent studying History, Literature, Theology, and Art, Seniors have the opportunity to experience many of those things firsthand. Their capstone trip takes them to places such as Rome, Pompeii, Vatican City, and Florence, where ancient ruins, churches, masterpieces, and city streets bring years of study vividly to life. It's an unforgettable way to celebrate both where students have been — and where they're about to go.
